Summer Spence is a 36 year old mother of three wonderful young children. Like many women in her generation, Summer sought a balance between home and career. She evaluated her talents and chose a course of action. Combining extensive experience in the cosmetology industry and a passion for aesthetic and design, Summer’s goal is quite simply to create bridal headdresses renown for style, sexiness, and couture.
Her experience in the bridal industry began in 1995 as a hairdresser at an Aveda Concept salon. She realized quickly that brides thoroughly enjoy the pampering that comes along with ‘in house’ services. Shifting gears, she began Summer Spence Independent Artistry, and focused her attention on working with brides in the privacy of their bridal suite at destination locations In California and Hawaii. It was through this experience that Summer realized there has been something lacking in the bridal industry… amazing headdresses that exude the essence of the bride. Today, Summer’s energies are devoted to designing veils and headpieces that express the grace, poise, and the incomparable beauty of a bride on her wedding day.
Summer has taken her years of experience as a hairdresser and combined her love of vintage beads, buttons, lace and feathers and evolved into a Headdresser.
